NeoForge UI — a browser-testable Godot 4.7 theme system with paid source

NeoForge UI is an original high-contrast Godot UI theme system built for menus, tool panels, in-game editors, settings screens, and compact dashboards. You can run the interactive gallery in your browser for free, then buy the source package if you want the reusable Godot project and addon files.

NeoForge UI draws from the broader neo-brutalist interface design movement. It does not include or redistribute third-party theme files, fonts, images, code, exact palettes, or scene layouts.

The paid USD $4.99 source package contains the full Godot 4.7 project, the reusable addons/neoforge_ui folder, all 34 ready-to-use theme resources, examples, documentation, tests, and release tooling.

The hook: runtime-remixable brutalist UI without external art dependencies

NeoForge UI uses scripted theme generation instead of a pile of static images. Palettes, light/dark mode, outlines, corner radius, hard-shadow offset, density, semantic button states, cards, tabs, lists, scrollbars, popups, and tooltip styling are generated from one compact theme engine.

Systems implemented

  • 34 ready-made theme resources — 17 original palettes in light and dark modes.
  • Broad Control coverage — buttons, labels, rich text, panels, line edits, text edits, code edits, spin boxes, checkboxes, sliders, progress bars, tabs, scrollbars, item lists, trees, popups, tooltips, and separators.
  • Semantic variations — primary, secondary, success, warning, danger, ghost, pill, icon, navigation, card, header, sidebar, inset, toast, and status panel styles.
  • Procedural icon generation — checkboxes, switches, arrows, clear buttons, and slider grabbers are generated at runtime.
  • Forge Lab gallery — tweak outline, radius, hard shadow, density, palette, mode, and motion in the running demo.
  • Theme-aware components — motion buttons, hover cards, backdrop grid, toast stack, and procedural confetti.
  • Command palette and focus states — browser-friendly interaction examples for keyboard and pointer workflows.
  • Headless smoke tests — included project checks theme creation, palette switching, icon cache reuse, and gallery startup.
